All,
I have too much stuff to be working on. It dawned on me that I was making a huge mistake. I have a tendency to run from things instead of dealing with them. This is a relationship -- here on DS. One of you told me to sleep on it and pray. I did; so here I am. Someone else said I would be back becuase they did the same thing; you were right. I did not drink and I did not use, but I did see the behavior that has caused me to drink and use in the past. Apparently, I am supposed to be here. I'm not complaining -- I'm just seeing it. I figure I've got some amends to make about being disruptive to the flow of recovery around here -- so I am willing to do that. This whole expereience has been quite humbling -- you all are helping me learn to live, Thank you. So, I am coming to you all with my tail tucked between my legs...... Darrell, we're all fallable human beings with good days and bad days. If you feel you've occasionally been disruptive to the flow of recovery, don't worry about it- we all are on certain days.
Glad to see you back because I enjoy your posts. There will be up days, down days, and some plain old "blah" days but I guess that's real life. Good to have you here.

darrell, you and I are so much alike, run like hell when something gets uncomfortable. I can totally relate. That is what addicts do, run away from reality when we get to overwhelmed. And you are I suspect, quite upfront with who you are and what you think, and that can be a vulnerable thing. Just take it easy and keep boundaries here, and everywhere in life. We need to stay healthy. You are such a positive person this place needs you.

YEA, I TELL THE PEOPLE I ASSOCIATE WITH, " I'LL SHOW YOU! I'LL FUCK ME! " IS VERY COMMON IN GETTING SOBER. GROWING UP AND TAKING RESPONSIBILITY IN YOU LIFE AS WELL AS RECOVERY MAKES FOR, STRANGE BED FELLOWS OF THE MIND.
GETTING PLANTED OR BETTER YET, GROUNDED IN A NETWORK OF INDIVIDUALS WHO LIKE YOURSELF ARE SUFFERING THE PAINS OF GROWING UP IS THE BEST ADVICE I COULD RELAY TO ANYONE.
