kissing in middle school halls

my daughter came home yester day and said her friend was kissing a boy with tongue, at school.
they are 12 and they are making out in the hall ways?? I'm not sure if this is normal or if I should talk to the school board about it this.
it is only the first month of school and here we go already! and this is not the the first time she said other kids put their arms around each other in class!
I don't think this is acceptable behavior at school? they chase you down for chewing gum and let the kids act like adults on campus??? anyone think I'm wrong for wanting to talk to the school board??

" I do notthink it is allowed in schools and if ateacher caught them there would be consequences, I would look in the school policies, and yes ask the school about it, our school does not allow that, when I was in school if a boy and girl were caught kissing they were suspended for 3 days, holding hands was not allowed either, but times have changed and I am not sure how serious schools take it anymore, "

" I would say kissing is the least of your worries... In this day there are girls this age having babies. I would definitely find out what the policies are on PDA and so forth. Just to be sure there are policies in place. Teachers can only do so much but I certainly hope that if they saw this that something would have been done. "

" on a side note also talk to your daughter about how that made her feel and why it is wrong to act that way in school or anywhere for that matter at such a young age. "

" If you havent had the birds and bees talk it is time. lant is right about more going on at this age than just the kissing, kids these days know and are doing more than I was at 20. I would definitely contact the school though about it so they can be more vigilant about monitoring the activities in the halls. "

" No I don't think that it is wrong for you to want to impede this type of behavior. I think that it is normal, we KNOW we don't want our kids to experience this type of behavior yet, but these children only know what they want and if they are allowed OF COURSE they will do it. I think that you are right to ask the school to force the children to behave properly in this type of environment.

Good Luck "
