" I think she did understand. I think maybe you are too upset to see it though. She said she was sorry and offered up and explanation as to why she did it. What more SHOULD she have said?

I think the response from her was appropriate and I'm willing to bet she won't do it again. Just be sure you have open lines of communication with your son. "

" NO NO NO NO NO NO NO it is not OK with out letter you know first!

But I would be more upset if he got someone pregnant. Maybe the parent was trying to protect his or her daughter. "

" I think it's ok. I'm 17, and I don't feel like just because I can get protection doesn't mean I will use it. It's better to have it and not need it or want it or use it, than to get tied up in the heat of the moment and do something you regret that could end up with dire consequences. Having protection doesn't mean everyone is suddenly going to need protecting. :) Just my two cents. "
