My daughter found an old bottle of fingernail polish and decided to paint about a three inch in diameter blotch on our bedroom wall! She also painted some of the green carpet and "dotted" a few other things! I don't know what gets fingernail polish off of walls and carpet! My husband got all mad at me for her doing it. I guess it is kind of my fault. I know she wasn't doing it for meanness. I can still remember being that old and doing "destructive" things, that I thought were good and helpful...for some reason. So, we're not really mad at her as we are stumped about how to get the fingernail polish cleaned up. Anybody know?

" *eyes wide open and jaw dropped*

holy cow.... i would say to use some sort of non-acetate fingernail polish remover.

some nail polishes will peel off certain surfaces.

Good luck to you!! "

" and be careful with cleaners.... some will remove the wall paint too.

409 works great on carpets, but it fades my walls and top of my toilet. "

" LOL...not laughing at you, trying to with you! My little one colored the whole front room within seconds! Have not figured how to get the crayon off the rocking chair (cloth) but I got luck, the clorox clean up took it right off the wall no issues. I didnt get mad (dad did) I just took the crayon and grabbed a coloring book to show her the right way. Of courseI told her no and all that, but honestly, I feel it is my fault I wasnt watching her. Be careful with the carpet, I would have suggested the polish remover as well, but make sure it doesnt take the color off the carpet. Google it, you can find about anything online these days! Good luck! "

" my daughter sits in her highchair to color with crayons (17 months old)

she decided to pick up the paper and draw on the tray.
It was followed with me saying "no.."
and she said "uh oh"
and we cleaned it.

then we were out the other day and she saw some crayon on a table... she freaked out and yelled "oh no.. uh oh" and wanted to clean it up.

I think I may be anal retentive... So far, my first 2 kids can't stand to have messes.. and put things away immediately (except after my oldest turned about 8 years old... it has been a couple years of everything everywhere.. just like a normal kid)

My first wouldn't even open a present and tear the paper.. i had to make him rip the paper... he just didn't get it.
I am starting early with my girl to rip presents.. it is more fun that way :) "
