Sleeping on chest

My son will only sleep on my chest. He is on his tummy and I'm worried it could make breathing hard for him. He doesn't seem to have problems with it but what do you think?

" You're fine. I loved having my son sleep on my chest. They like it.. It's warm and they can hear your heart beating. For the first month or so my son spend a lot of time sleeping on both mine and my husbands chest. Of course as first parents we were worried about him smothering himself and not breathing, but it's fine I think. I would enjoy it while it lasts. "

" My daughter loves sleeping on my chest. For the most part that is how we fall asleep everynight and then I out her down. She puts her head flat into my chest some times and it makes me worried that she is going to suffocate herself. But she doens't ever seem to mind it, and won't let me move her head to the side either. "

" My daughter loves to fall asleep on my chest. If she puts her face directly facing my chest, I just gently move it over to the side so she can breath easier. She never even wakes up when I do that.

There is no better feeling than having your little one sleeping on your chest. Enjoy it because at the rate they grow, soon they will be too big to do it. "

" my son loves to sleep on my chest too. i let him nap there or fall asleep for the night then gently roll him off of me and onto his back. i think it's normal and there's no problem with it. "

" As a father, I certainly enjoyed the chest sleeping as well but something to be very careful with is falling asleep. It's very easy for parents to fall asleep as well...and well, I'm sure you can figure out what may happen.
