We all posted on the things we could not do without, what are some of the things you thought u just had to have for your baby and turned out to be a complete waste of money. Mine was the bassinett. I had to have one thinking I wanted him close to me and bought one that had a mobile, vibrated, and played classical music...What a waste of money. The lil stinker wouldnt sleep in it for anything. I already gave it away lol

" I couldnt live without my chnaging table! The bassinet tho, waste of my money and space. I thought that the wipe warmer and the diaper champ I bought would be added to this list, but it makes changing diapers more fun for some reason. Who would have thought! "

" honestly there was nothing that i 'wasted money' on. i didnt buy a bassinet because i wanted her to learn to sleep in her crib without having to go through so many changes with her. right now she doesnt like her playpen and would rather lay on the floor but when summer hits that will have to change. "

" The beautiful white wooden cradle we bought for him.He hates the thing. The only way he will sleep in it is if we block it where it don't move.I fell in love with it the moment I first saw it about 3 months before he was born and had planned to give it to my daughter for him when he was born but when I got custody of him at birth I brought him home and put him in it and he immediately screamed bloody murder.lol "

" b/c this is my 2nd, i kinda knew what to get and what wasn't really needed ( i wasted a TON of money on stupid stuff i thought i had to have with my first), but we've found that Jackson isn'y terribly fond of the swing. he'll only stay in it for about 10 minutes before screaming. hopefully he grows into it though! " I paid 200 dollars for an infant monitor set,,,waste, shes never far enough away that I need it and shes the only kid I have that sleeps through the night, I could have spent 10 dollars at the second hand store for a walkie talkie set and been just fine. "

" I didn't waste the money because I received the items as gifts...but I might have registered for them, thinking I needed them so I wasted someone's money!

Swing - none of my kids were 'swingers'

Bumbo seat - they didn't have it around with my first 2, but I wanted it so bad with baby #3. I actually borrowed this from a friend and I'm so glad I didn't waste money on it. My baby at 3 months was strong enough to arch out of it. It was used maybe 4 times and then I had to get rid of it, not safe.

Diaper Genie- had it with my first and I hated it. The whole thing ended up smelling. For the 2nd and 3rd kid I just dispose of offensive diapers in those individual, scented bags. "

" Ha...Bumbo seat. That was one of my first posts on here, asking if I needed one.
Apparently, I didn't.
She sat in it maybe twice and then her little (?not so much?) thighs would get stuck in it and she despised it from then on. "
