UGHHHHHHH Sorry, WAY TMI.....I started my period today, actually late last night, and it's in full force right now. I haven't had a period in god knows when since my last 2 were so close.....hmmmmm, I think it's been about 3 years since I had one...anyhow, this hurts like a mother and even valium, ibuprofin, midol and 2 robaxin aren't helping.

DH called work and said he'd be in late so he could help me with the 3 girls, but god, I hope this pain goes away soon, I swear it feels like the start of labor!!!!

My OB said that I wouldn't get as bad of cramps and stuff since I got my tubes tied....she lied!

Oh well, it can only get better. BTW Happy New Year everyone

" Sucky... I dont remember when I got mine back after my first born, but today at the store I had a craving for some salty potato chips. I dont ever eat potato chips so I have a feeling my long lost friend is coming soon.. Such a bummer, I would be happy if the big P never came back "

" I haven't had my tubes tied, but I was "researching" the precedure while I was pregnant with my youngest.

The Dr. told me that a certain (small percentage) of women have much more painful periods after they have this procedure. They don't know what causes it in some women because they haven't been able to find a medical reason.

But apparently, many of these women end up back on the pill to regulate their cycle so that the pain isn't so bad. I suppose if it continues to be so painful, that is one option you could consider. "

" I am so sorry! Mine are like that all the time unfortunately! I will say though, that my sister had her tubes tied and she said it made her period 100 times worse! I know everyone is different, but if it continues to be so bad you may want to go in for a check up again to make sure nothing else is the matter. My sister ended up getting that procedure where they strip your uterine walls, ugh, but she said it was fantastic after! Good luck, i hope you feel better soon "

" Thanks! Now I am freaking out about the return of mine, as I am in the same boat - haven't had a period really for about 3 years. Thanks! "

" I feel your pain, Maggie. Not today, thank God, but earlier this month I got my first taste of returning cramps while Christmas shopping with my husband. I literally sat down on the floor in the middle of Best Buy and started crying, all dignity forgotten.

Endometriosis is the culprit for my super-cramps, but I was hoping they would ease up after my pregnancy. Or at least remain forgotten while I was still breastfeeding. But baby is eating more and more solids so momm's body is returning to normal. *whine*

Hang in there and pop another pain pill if needed. (((HUGS))) "
