Work from home

I have a double masters degree, and I love to do creative work, but I also love staying home with my newborn son. I have tried going back to work, but it just stressed me out and made me sad to be away from him. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to obtain legitimate, creative work from home?

" Maybe try starting a home based business that you would enjoy. Try looking at the ads in back of parenting magazines. They usually have some interesting opportunities. Good luck. "

" If you are crafty look at etsy.com to see what other things people are selling.

I work at home as an illustrator, but it's for a company that I worked in the office and it got shut down. So I lucked into it. I don't know how I'll find anything like it if it goes away. Maybe some freelance work. Check with publishing companies to see if they need editing or writing or other work like that? I don't know what your skills are, but there's got to be something out there for you.

Good luck! "

" I am personally checking into etsy right now.

I research all legit stuff through the message boards at www.wahm.com (my name there is honeysuckle)

there are lots of legit things... but remember.. it is still work- you will need to make a schedule for yourself.

and on that site, you will see a section for online tutors. There is a link in there with leads for jobs. There are a bunch of tutoring you would be qualified to do- at least to start. One of them is through smartthinking (that one seems to have more options). "
