My two month old baby girl is experiencing the difficult time of tething with all the lovely extras, irritibleness, trouble sleeping etc... My problem is that as she was three weeks prem she is a petite two month old and teething rusks are all to big for her mouth. Looking at all the gels and things available is chemists they are all suitable for children at youngest four months and over. Does anyone know of any products (available in Australia) or home remidies that can be used on an infant this young safely. I dont want tyo use anything potentially harmful but this time is extreemly hard and I could do with some advice!

" First off, I have to recommend amber necklaces! Check out www.forfinn.com they are made by a wonderful mama! I bet if you were to contact her, and let her know your situation, you could figure something out and get it sent to you. Second of all.. can you get homiopathic teething pills? We can get these at Walmart and pharmacies here. Third of all.. tylenol works, although I try to stay away from meds unless I have no other choice. Freezing a wet washcloth and letting her chew on the cold part.. just moisten like the corner.. my kids couldn't use the numbing gels. good luck hun! "

" My son went throught the same thing... they sell these ring like things that have a net at the end... and with him i would freeze like grapes and he would naw on it...it lets them get the juice which they love...the the cold soothes their gums and they can't choke cuz they don't get any small bits....they're really cheap to...My son couldn't use the gels he hated the fact that it numbed his whole mouth... i usually use tylenol...it works really well..and you can give it to them more often...
