Has anyone ever tried relactating? I was unable to breastfeed for one month and now I am trying to get my milk back. Has anyone done this? What did you do? How long before you started to get ANY milk and how long before you could breastfeed at least 50% of the feedings? Help? I'm trying! Did you take any drugs? What were they called? DId they help?

This had some good information about relactating. Hope it helps!

I will not be able to breatfeed due to a previous breast reduction, but I have been doing some reading on "comfort latching" where you can use your breast to comfort your baby even if you are not breastfeeding, it still gives you that bonding experience. "

" I wasn't able to feed for almost a week. I think that for one month, you'll have to take some relactation drugs. They make some for women who want to breastfeed their adopted baby. I pumped for forty min every two hours, even if he had a feeding. Get a good electric pump to use after you comfort nurse. "
