they want to admit my 3 1/2 year old to the hospital to watch his breathing and his siezures...he's been really sick for a couple of weeks now, but we have been through this before...i mean they want to admitt him for a couple of weeks!!! thats a long time!!! i really just want him to be a kid for a while....what do you think??? any advise would help....and please know that this admission would be 2 hours from home and i have two other kids!!

if he needs that medical help, get him to the hospital! things can get worse very fast...and you don't want to mess around with breathing or seizures.

breathing and seizures are both a big deal...he will have plenty of time to be a child when he feels better...i will be thinking about you.

Have you thought of a second opinion? Is there a way to have a nurse or a monitor at home where you can keep your son home and still get the information to the doctors that they are looking for? This is a hard decision. Go with your gut instinct. I won't lead you astray. And if your son does go into the hospital, if it's a children's hospital, they usually do fun things with the kids to help them forget why they are there. I know that doesn't change the fact. And at 3-1/2 they still don't fully understand. Is there family/friends that can help out? Is there a place for family to stay at the hospital?
