Lumps in armpits

My new son is 9 days old.

Since my milk has come in, I have noticed two lumps under each armpit. Sometimes they're painful. I had this with my first child, but only when she was close to fully weaned.

Have you experienced this?

" That could mean that your breasts are engouraged, which means that you have blocked ducks. If the lumps become red, swollen, and more painf, call your doc because it could me mastitis. Cold cabbage leafs work good for engouragment, try a hot shower and then expressing some milk out while massaging the lumps to releive the engouragment. "

" Ugh. I have experienced it!! It's AWFUL! I have a clogged milk duct in my right arm pit (so long tank tops!) It seems to be growing but I could be wrong. My (awful) Dr told me it may or may not go away when I am done nursing my daughter. I was told to do hot/cold compass which I haven't done (Lol). I've also noticed it to be painful at times. "
