My twins are 17 weeks old now (they were 3 motnhs early), and I was wodnering if anyone else with premie twins could tell me when theres started to be able to sit up and hold up their heads and things like that

" get the book called 'what to expect in the first year'. it's really good with milestones and pointing out what they should and might be doing.
as fo sitting up...it'll be awhile. my twins are 6 months and are just independently sitting up on their own (they were a month early). they should be holding their heads up soon ...but remember that they are 'technically'(if they were born on their due date) just born...so it might be awhile yet. "

" If they were early they may not reach all milestones when the books say. That is ok but I suggest talk to your pediatrican. "

" Yeah, I read that with preemies, they tend to do things as if they were born on their due date. If they were 12 weeks early and they're 17 weeks old, they should be doing things 5 week old babies would be doing. "
