i was just wondering if any of u have tried weight loss drugs(appetite suppressants) to help lose that extra weight from pregnancy.

i have been going to the gym 4-6 times a week and i have gained weight. i think its cos i am not as active thru the day. i used to be on my feet all day at work and now i am a stay at home mum. the most exercise i get apart from the hour or so at the gym, is just general household chores.
and i admit to snacking a bit, being at home.

so if anyone has any experiences to share that would be great.
i have an appointment at my docs this week to discuss this with him, so we'll see what he thinks

;-)

" I dont think that any of those drugs are safe while breastfeeding, I am not sure though. I am having a hard time loosing the last 8 pounds, it just wants to stick to my butt and stomach! LOL. I was active when I was working too. I walked about an average of 6 miles a day when I was at work, and I did thearpy with the elderly at my facility. What I just started doing was when my BF came home, I would go on a LONG walk, about almost 2 hours. Sometimes I will take Logan with me, it just depends on his temperment at time time. That has helped me alot with losing weight. BUT if you find a weight loss drug that is safe for moms that are breastfeeding, let me know!! "

" Since having my baby on May 2nd I have lost 18 pounds, but I have more to lose...I can not try weight loss drugs...but I plan to join Bikram Yoga...Yoga in a heated room. I have found that the pounds just seem to come off after a few 90 minute heated yoga sessions...you should look them up online.

Also, I hate to say this, but the snacking might be what is holding you back. I know it is hard...bc I like to snack also, but maybe you can try healthy snacks...I am not even close to an expert on this, but I like having a Fruit Smoothie as a snack/meal in the middle of the day.

Good luck and don't worry those extra pounds will be off in no time!! "

" I have a great wight loss drug for you.....my 3 year old! LOL! In all seriousness though, I lost all of my weight by just keeping myself busy, busy, busy! I gained about 45lbs and am now back down to below my pre-pg weight. Go for long walks, walk around the mall, just stay out of the house and keep yourself occupied! Good luck! "
