I was wondering if it is suposed to hurt the first time you have sex. We have waited until the Dr. said it was all okay. I did have an epesiatomy and it has healed well. But when we had sex it was very uncomfortable. Does it take a while for your sex life to get back to normal>

" One thing to consider though is make sure you are nice and relaxed and not looking for a "quickie" After my first I waited the 6 weeks and my partner at time was in a hurry.I felt too nervous and worked up so I guess thats why I hurt. After my 2nd my bf took his time and was more gentle and not pressuring me into it.I think cos he made me so relaxed that it was easier this time :) "

" Yep normal as!
I was told after I had my son that it may pay for me to buy a lubricant cause it could help with the first few times as your body may not act the way you are thinking...
Your sex life will go back to normal don't worry about that!
It didn't really hurt my first time just at first cause I was quite tense and scared as I had ripped quite badly..
But once I relaxed I was fine.. Sometimes still it hurts at first but nothing to worry about and not everytime just depends on the moment ya know
Hope I helped a bit
Reen xx "

" Oh yeah!! I had 2 epesiatomies, and I tore. My hubby talked me into sex when our son was 4 1/2 weeks old....and OUCH! He's now 11 weeks old, and it still hurts at first, every time! I'm hoping it will get better soon! "
