I know that there are different normals according to the place that is doing the testing. You should be able to find a great deal of information on line just from a google search on IGF1. I learned a lot that way. It seems to me that you might consider consulting different doctors, too. It might not be a bad idea to go straight to a place that specializes in acromegaly, like the acromegaly research center at the University of Michigan or somewhere similar that is near you. It is a sneaky disease and I think you should be persistant in trying to be sure that you do not have it, if you suspect it. If you do have it, you can avoid a lot of grief and misery by stopping it sooner. I sure wish I had. Good luck.

05-30 ngs per ml is the normal range measured where I am ,my last blood test had me at 39 which is far too high .Age and lifestyle do alter igf-1 readings but they should be within that large 05-30 range,hope that helps Pete!

I think the normal range varies depending on age. At 50, my IGF-1 should be below 249. My last lab was 365. The endo increased my injection and I go for another lab this week.
