" Hi Spiegal, I also was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia when my TMJ symptoms were at their worse. I was sent to a neurologist for an evaluation, not a surgeon. Turns out I didn't have Trigeminal, but after I was finally diagnosed with the acromegaly, I was told that sometimes the tumor presses on one of the nerves in the face and it can feel like Trigeminal pain. I hope this helps. Google Trigeminal Neuralgia for more info. Good luck sweetie. Mish "
