Dont know if its the same, but havebeen awarded Long term incapacity benefit, and you can also have a full time job, you have to fill in a form, which is short, then they write and give you an appointment, then access you,they were very nice, a cheque arrived a week later, and they back dated it 3 months, hope everything works out,

I have heard from other people on another site that they applied. some were granted it others were told no and then they appealed and were granted it..I think it is worth applying if you are unable to work it makes sense...

i have been on disability for about 3 years now i think.dont remmember if acromegaly was on it because ive also got hydrocephalus(water on the brain),low thyroid,uterine cancer,a whole list of problems and they even put morbidly obese on it.after i hurt my back at work and all my other health problems with it i just couldnt work anymore.though i would love to.my best advise is hire an attorney because i got declined the first time and they got it for me within a year.when i went before the judge in the disability hearing all they did was ask me if i thought i would be able to do any type of job. and my response was that i cant sit or stand in one place for a lond time because it hurts my back and the vocational rehab person told the judge based on my testamony that he doesnt think i would be suitable for any type of job and they granted my case.best of luck i know its hard to wait on a check.
