" I have talked to two friends with chronic illness. Both are 6 years out from a cancer diagnosis. Theya re amazing. They told me that my recently aquired hypervigilancy and sensitivity will ease. Everyday throughout hte day... I either aknowledge..."wow I am pain free" or else I think "is that my knee bones that are hurting, is this ache normal, why do I have zits... why has my body temperature just changed...so the short answer jokey is yes...I feel the same way...mctrjt "

" I feel the same way....my husband is like " you always have something wrong with you" I don't complain about anything to him. Unlike him with his " my finger hurts, my nose is running, my lips are chapped" who cares!! Get a real problem and then let me know!!! I keep everything to myself and only talk about it on this site! Because I don't want people to think all I do is b*tch! "

" Somedays when I am feeling pretty well, I almost forget about the acromegaly, then there are those days from the minute I wake up I feel like crap. Those are the "watching the clock" days!! We do have to remember it could always be worse. This isn't fatal..painful YES...but, we can get through it. Think positive thoughts friends. We are all in this together. What a great group of people! Thank goodness for this support group. XX Mish "

" yes i feel the same, today i must admit im not so bad aprt from my hair falling out when i washed it. but hey at least i havent got any bald spots so it could be worse. so not a clock watching day but yesterday was and all i did was write down what was gping wrong or made me feel ill. i do it sometimes to help me understand what is going on. also helps to take it when i see the doctor so understands how bad or good things are. so a big hug to you all x x
its not nice to be reminded when you are in a good mood. it really pulls you down. x "

" Guess it finally hit home for me that I do have a chronic illness. My insurance company finally sent me a letter and declined me because any one with these problems can not be insuranced by their company. I guess I thought since I had surgury to fix it ,it was gone..Guess I better wake up and face it. HUH? "

" I feel the same way. Everyday I wake up I hope will be a better day then the day before. that I will be able to do something and not have to stay in the house. I don't think there is a way not to think about it everyday to some extent because of what you go thru each day. "
