Hi Jokey, Me too!!! I had all of my light switches put on dimmers. I wear sunglasses during the day. I did ask the doc, he said the tumor probably caused slight damage on my optic nerve. I don't know if I buy this though. My tumor wasn't near the optic nerve. I think because of the sinus problems I have, is the more likely answer. Do you have sinus problems? XX Mish

Hi Mish my tumour is not near my optic nerve so I wouldnt think your docs answer is right either.I am lucky that I dont suffer with headaches only twinges of head pain since been on drug. Also do not have any sinus problems they say my eyesight is good and have had a field vision test which was good.I just find I cant tolerate bright lights they dont give me a headache but it hurts my eyes. I do have damage on my optic nerve from the tumor. The surgery has improved my vision (50%better per the opthamologist) but my right eye is still substandard on the field vision test. Bright lights and movement in the car feels really strange.

Prior to surgery my field test was inconclusive, all my doc reports say that my tumor was not near my optic nerve. I never went for a follow up field tests since I was not impressed with that neuro eye doc. The thing is that in july before I was diagnosed with acro I was at a regular eye doc's and she told me I had a cataract. Both neuro eye doc's do not think it is realted to acro, none of the research I did supports that it is related but I think it is. I all but stopped driving at night a year ago not knowing I had a cataract. Bright lights also bothered me. at work I would turn off all the overhead lights. Anyway I am happy to report that on 2/12 I had the cataract removed successfully and I really see everything sooo much better...Try rose colored glasses to soften the view!:) mctrjt

I'm not surprised that mctrjt recommends wearing rose colored glasses. She does lean toward the optimistic side :-) My classroom is kept in the dark as much as I can get away with it. I have a lot of trouble with light, but I'm not sure how much of that might be related to migraines.
