im not sure about everyone else as everyones acro symptoms are different but my pains with my back arms and legs my doctor has advised me to try but dont over do it and if you get any pain stop! so i dont exercise....lol i do a lot of walking and sometimes my legs hurt real bad but its the only form of exercise i can do without feeling really tired and aching everywhere. but i suppose it depends on how you feel at the time. and what your symptoms are and how bad. hope everyone can have there say on this i think it will help a lot for you.

based on my experience, you might want to very very cautious about cartilege problems. I have had plantar fascia release in both feet, need it again in the right foot, had to have 2 sessions of PT for achilles tendon problems in R leg and need surgery to correct it, but will wait to see if the tumor removal and hopefully the cure of the acromegally will eliminate that problem - had to have carpal tunnel release surgery on both hands, special cortisone injections in a nerve that controls the right thumb and much more. I have persisted in staying somewhat active, but not nearly as much as I would like to and I am hoping that things will improve now that most of the tumor is gone. I hope that will happen for you, too. Just be careful and be sure that you do stretches and anything you can to avoid extra strain to tendons that seem to be more fragile for us acromegalics.

Hi,
Well we were told that swimming was good, also pilates and gentle yoga, I think you have to go with what suits you, but swimming is the one my daughter does now, coz it doesnt make her ache, and she doesnt go mad about 45 mins gentle breast stroke, and keeps to a pretty low fat and sugar diet, hope this helps
