My mother had this. At age 8 she stoped growing, and got her period. She also suffered from degenerative bone disease. She was four foot six. She died at age 29 from non related things, alchoholism and drug addiction. But mainly from her drinking. She had a very hard life, as her family shunned her, other than her mom. She died alone. I am worried about the genetic factors. I am not tall, and have been losing height from scoliosis, which was brought on by a birth defect of the spine.I have three children who have not gotten the PD, and have two nieces who also have not got it. So far..
