And for that matter, being too open to strangers about intimate facts.

Yes, I especially relate to being to open and transparent to people I hardly know. I feel so bad lots of times because I know I scare people away by being so open. It's funny, though, if I talk to someone else with ADD and this problem--we talk each other's ears off!

Yeah, it makes more sense now. Because of the whole impulsive speech thing / not thinking before you speak. So I guess that would have to be honest. It's funny how I don't give my thoughts more credit until someone can agree with them. Funny in a sort of...weird sad way.

I'm much the same way to a fault. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I am an open book. I find it hard to relate to most people and I can detect b.s. a mile away and find most people to be full of it unfortunately. The gift of discernment can be a disturbing attribute at times and most call me negative or over sensitive but it's because I'm too honest and can pick up on other people's vibes too easily. Is it a gift or a curse, hmmm?

You sound fairly average for this group lol.
Definitely a pain in the rear these personality traits.
People are not comfortable if you come over intimate to quick and they detect weakness if you are too honest.
Screwed either way don't you think lol.
You will learn from hurt unfortunately.

I guess it's ok (and anything would be) if you have confidence behind it, but that's where I need some work. I'll speak honestly and people won't believe me. They'll think I'm being sarcastic, like too many others commonly are.
Still, I'd rather more people were honest with me, so despite the consequences, I wouldn't want to change this.

I don't know if my honesty is from the ADHD, but I believe honesty is very inportant. Long ago I didn't think that way. I don't exspect people to honest with me but I will be honest with them. Rigil13 has not let me down with being honest, and i think thats one reason we are good friends. I have a close friend that has never lied to me and she knows I can't lie to her as well.
