I got prescribed Adderall XR 10mg BID and am just wondering when do you typically start noticing it in your system? I started taking it today about 40 minutes ago. I know I am doing alot of coughing and my nose is running, so I suspect it is in my bloodstream. The coughing does not really worry me though (or should it?) because I have asthma and one of the treatments i have had to use were some stimulant type meds and those would make me cough, because it was opening my airways. I hope this is not a bad thing....I got some heartburn too. Anywho this is a new med and I hate new meds so I just want to know what to expect and what is NOT normal? What meds is it going to clash with because my Fibro doctor gives me other meds and I do not want to take them if they are going to clash with this Adderall.

I was on 10mg Adderall also. ( I dont feel i need it anymore tho ) I would think the coughing is normal since it happened to you before. I noticed it about an hour after i took it. I starred at my food for a long time haha. Oh and my appetite went down the drain for prolly a week, so expect that too. Im not sure what meds they clash with. hope this helped some!

I take Adderall and I can tell a diffrence about 20 mins after taking....I know that there are a group of antidepressants that will make your Adderall not work.Cant remember the names but I found it on line. Have been on med for 2 months - only side affect is no appetite but i could use that!!!! GOOD LUCK
