" Thanks for all the support I just get so frustrated with myself sometimes and I constantly worry too about stupid things which I know it not good. I was on meds Concerta and Adderall but whenI moved from Pa to CA they said a primary care physical could not prescribe the meds and I needed to go to a pyschiatrist which I was not to keen on cuz I felt like a mental case but then I was put on depakote she said that treated the symptoms of ADD in adults and Concerta was not for adults but I was taking it before as an adult just fine. On the depakote the worrying was less and I didn't panic as much under stress but now I got a new job and new insurance so I couldn't see the pyschatrist I was seeing and the meds were 200 dollars a month and I could't afford them now i am working on saving for a trip to go back to Pa after not seeing my family in three years and I am like I need to save the money as soon as I get back from the trip it is just so frustrating I write words down wrong sometimes and my brain feels like a filing cabinet that exploded in my head and I am racing to find all the papers and putting them back in order...it sucks How can you not be so critical of yourself when you always feel like you are messing up!! Thanks again!

" We all relate to you're despair and self-loathing from the symptoms.

Find a Medico that specialises or has an interest in AD/HD. Most have little knowledge or a negative perception of the disorder.

Medication can assist in managing the symptoms. However, I would suggest an AD/HD specific Psychologist or Therapist who will teach you new social and life skills.

Yes, managing you're ADHD can be expensive but necessary to live and not just exist.

My thoughts are with you Chrissy. "
