Hay everyone! Well for any of you who have read any of my questions in the past about me getting diagnosed and i couldn't because i would have to pay well things here have changed my family doc is now qualified to do it and she has gone over all of my answeres to questions and has diagnosed me with ADHD combined! And i can't believe i am going to say this but it lifted about a thousand tuns off my shoulders! Well here is my question does any adults take aderall xr and if so what do you think of it and even if not if you are on something different and like it let me know she wants me to look up on all the meds and make the decision of what i want to try first and then we will go from there. Thanks to all who have been there for me in the past and who are going to help me now hugs to you all and i am glad this struggle for help is finally come to an end and that my doc is going to help me sorry so long!

I have ADHD and I take ritilan XR it works great but Adderall xr worked the best I dont take it due insurance will not pay for it.

Hay thanks alot i have gone on and read alot about the meds i can take and i think i have finally decided to take adderall xr for my first med it sounds funny saying i am 30 and i have just been diagnosed with adhd and am going on meds my best friend looked at me like i had two heads when i told her that they were going to put me on meds she was like i thought they were just going to diagnose you and then you woould talk to someone! I just looked at her and said no! well god luck and thanks again!

I would reccommend Vyvanse as well. It is much smoother than the Adderal with less side effects. lasts a full 11-12 hours.and now it is authorized for adult use.

I have been on Adderall XR since March when I was first diagnosed. It has changed my entire life! I don't feel like such a bubble head all of the time and my job is so much easier now. However, I had to up my dosage due to building up a tolerance and now I am depressed all of the time. I have no idea how to fix this other than to wean myself back down to my original dosage. This is a wonder cure however it has it's side affects :(
