So I am 22 years old and I have always been ADD/ADHD, but I have never been evaluated for it. My mom was not the best mom at the time of childhood, so she overlooked it or I would get into trouble for being hyperactive.
I have never been able to hold jobs in the past, I get bored fast, I cannot listen well when someone is speaking directly to me, and I am short with my kids. I defiantly think I need treatment for this and I am waiting to see someone for an appointment. I start college August 1st and I want to be on a treatment plan before then because I am worried about my studies and how I will do. I also take wellbutrin for depression and I read that it is also supposed to help with ADHD, but it does not help at all. Can anyone tell me what an evalutation consists of and what the pshyciatrist might do for my situation?
