ADHD / ADD Support Group

I have both and was diagnosed at the same time. I can't take stimulant drugs because they make my anxiety worse and send me into mania quicker. I am a rapid cycler.

i dx with bp2 first then adult add. im on ritalin and seroquel. the ritalin works to focus but believe it or not makes me lazy and still unmotivated. i might try adderal. you can try a low dose of stimulant but bcareful it doesnt make u manic.

I have both. I was dx with ad hd first and until that even got somewhat under controll did we find out i was bi polar too. it took me trying to quit smoking for the bi polar to raise its ugly head, but i am on meds for both now and doing really well. I take adderall xr and tripedal. i thought it was crazy at first the dr telling me i was bi polar and all of my friends thought it was nuts too since i have never in my life dispalyed any symptons of it until i got the adhd taken care of. strange how things will hide themselves under something else.

i was diagnosed with adhd and then bipolar six years later .. i never tried stimulants until four years after that but it only made me manic and sent me into a rage.. i only treat my bipolar now

I have been dx'd with both. I was actually first diagnosed with Anxiety...then ADHD...then Bipolar II. I'm pretty sure they diagnosed me with everything in between before getting it all figured out...not too mention medicating me with everything from Prozac to Thorazine. Now I take Topomax, Celexa, and Adderall and feel the most stable I've been in years.

i was DX first with the BP but shortly after i was dx with the adhd as well i have other disorders as well but the adhd and bp affect me most in life i do take stimulant medication and they say it can work against u but i have been stable with all meds for 3 years now and such on and off i have bouts and what have u but yes there are alot fo peeps who have both
i have a support group and there are soem there i am sure i think
