Remembering things

I have so much trouble remembering my possessions. Just a couple days ago I left my wallet and my expensive photography camera at my grandpas house, in a different country. >< I've never lost anything this big but I do tend to lose a lot of things. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it linked to my ADD? And if so, is there anything that I can do, other than writing it down (tried that) to help me remember?
I dunno... I feel sometimes like I just space things out. I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing this.

" I've been forgetting things for years. I have learned to put the tings I need for the next days trip on the table or by my bag when It's currently on my mind. I hang sunglasses by the front do to remember to wear them. If it's not in front of me, I'll foget. Notes I write or paper work that needs to be done go on the table where I see them or right in front of my alam clock. I have to set my phone alarm to remind me of some things. I keep a pocket calener with in my bag go If I need a remindar or need to make an oppointment it's there. Even with all that I still forget things, but it's getting beter. Your not alone in this problem. "

" It is a natural part of the disorder for us to do that. In my home I have a place for everything. My keys for the house and car go in one spot as soon as I walk in, my handbag in another. if I dont do these things then I would be completely lost. i have a specified drawer for bills, my childrens important documents, i try to plan things out in my diary to a tee, sometimes a month in advance otherwise I would forget everything. I am always leaving things at peoples homes when I go to visit but as I am getting older it dosn't bother me any-more to ring up or go back and get what I left. I leave notes on my fridge (mainly my childrens sports events etc)so I dont forget. Some days I dont know whether I am coming or going especially if I am out of routine such as school holidays and I have a roster outlining everything that needs to be done during the day on school days from morning till night, otherwise my house would be disorganised chaos, he,he. There are lots of things we can do to make living with this disorder not easy but easier. "

" FIRESTORM,

I can so totally relate. It seems I lose things all the time and a lot of times it's right after I've set it somewhere. It is SO SO frustrating and I too go into those rages of screaming frustration. I get SO mad at myself sometimes as this causes a lot of irritation for me. "
