Remembering things

I have so much trouble remembering my possessions. Just a couple days ago I left my wallet and my expensive photography camera at my grandpas house, in a different country. >< I've never lost anything this big but I do tend to lose a lot of things. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it linked to my ADD? And if so, is there anything that I can do, other than writing it down (tried that) to help me remember?
I dunno... I feel sometimes like I just space things out. I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing this.

" My son has a hard time remembering his text books and such. But that just maybe because he's 10. Try one of those pocket recorders. I think it's called a memory minder. It's about the size of a key chain and you cant record things you need to remember, instead of writing them down.
I will be praying for you. "

" Can relate to the miss-placing of wallets and car keys, loosing valuables at the shops. Not sure if ADD/ADHD is all to blame. It could be a cause effect of depression. Since starting stimulant medication I have noticed my depression has eased off big time. I'm not miss-placing or loosing objects anymore.
My wife has developed depression and as it has got deeper I have noticed she is miss-placing and loosing things. She has become more clumsy and forgetful. I wonder if people who suffer from depression disorder have these issues? "

" I have the same problem...but for me it's forgetting what I have done or not done. I forget to mail bills, make phone calls, and sometimes some will say to me that I forgot to call them, and I can't remember ever making the promise. It errodes self-confidence, at least with me. "

" I am horrible about returning phone calls and text messages too. I forget to call/text back right away. And I don't remember until the person brings it up. I've left my card in the atm. I left my keys in teh bank the other day and stood out in the parking lot emptying my purse until a woman came out with them....

but I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one :) "

" I'm a maintenance worker and I have forgotten tools all over the apartment building. I write appointments down then neglect/forget to check my calander. I'll write notes to myself and lose them. Eventually I'll remember but by then I'm usually double-booked and have to run around rescheduling things, doing damage control "
