I just started taking strattera 5 days ago. I am feeling a tiny bit more focus, energy, less panic, but now I cry all the time. I dont know what one is worse. Has anyone else had this problem on ADD meds? Are they all like that or just Strattera? Any comment at all would be helpful as I sort out this medicine maze.

Im taking Concerta... and when I first started (about 2 months ago) I cried a lot too. About everything, even it was just silly... give it a few more days, if it gets worse or doesnt go away talk with your doctor... try a new medication.

I was on Strattera and stopped it after 3 days, due to feeling extremely tired and doppey like I was on a cold med that gives the groggy feeling also some other sexual side effects that were not favorable at all. I don't think it would do the same for a woman but for a guy, no thanks. I got changed to Adderal and so far so good. Can't tell if there are any side effects like the crying, because I have been doing that but that is due to a very painful issue with my spouse that hurt me.

okay, someone said something about hormones affecting add meds, i have to say that i think there is something to that. i was doing fine on my add meds until i got on birth control. then i was a total pyscho. so, i stopped taking my add meds and i was still moody but not as bad. its like the add meds intensified my pms. so, i'm going back on my add meds since my life is slowly coming apart and i'm going off the birth control.
