" I've had a few jobs as a cleaning person. I really liked it because of the constant exercise/moving around, it tired me out and I always felt better for it. "

" I think I would like to work with people. It is scarey but it would be a blessing. It's so easy for me to stay in solitude. So socializing, though I might not do it well, is really something that needs to be worked on constantly. "

" I don't have ADHD but my daughter does and I think that something that keeps you focused but also allows you exercise would be good. My daughter is only 9 but she gets put to work by the teenagers who run the campground where we stay in the summer. She loves it, gets a lot of exercise and earns "money"....ie ice cream for payment. "

" i love my job, i'm an emt for NYC EMS. i'm late to work almost all the time (5-10) but thankfully most supervisors at my station (and most others) are very lenient when it comes to that. usually with good partners the day flys by but sometimes i worry i talk too much and with too many details. i wonder if my partners really don't mind hearing all i have to say.

p.s. partners can make or break this job, bad partners can make you life hell... "

" A lot of people with ADD can focus for hours on certain things. If you have experienced this, that would be the field to consider.

I think it is important to consider whether or not you are an extrovert or an introvert. Introverts are not necessarily shy people, but they then to find dealing with others to be draining. Extroverts feel energized around others.

I have heard that ADDers make good writers and detectives (because they notice everything).

I think that physical activity is really important. So, since I write, I make sure I spend time gardening daily (shoveling snow in the winter). I really need to get outside for about an hour and do work of some sort.

Hope this helps. "
