whether you are on meds as a child or as an adult, I would like to hear from you.
If you took NO meds as a child: Do you take them as an adult? How did you do academically and socially as a child? How do you think it has affected who you are as an adult? Do you wish that you had taken meds as a child and why? If you DID take meds as a child: What did you take as a child? Are you still on meds (and if so what)? How did you do academically and socially as a child? Have you had any long term affects (medically or other) from the meds? If you are ADHD with Tourette's: all the same questions, but I would also like to know how the meds affected your Tourette's or how the Tourette's affected you socially with no meds? I'm a bipolar with ADD. I was not diagnosed as a child. I was treated for several years just for bipolar and my life did not improve, til I found a doctor that identified my ADD.
Now I take Vyvanse and it has changed my life. I can work part time again and actually feel joy. I still have trouble learning new things at work, but I'm doing better than ever thanks to a doc that would give a bipolar ADD med.
