Has anyone had experience with both of these drugs? I currently take adderall 20 xr to help with school. I was wondering what is different with vyanase. I know this question has probably been asked before, but I don't want to search the forum. I have ADD after-all. hehe Thanks.

" My now 14yr old had been on adderall xr and is now on vyvance. While he did show some mild improvement on adderall, he also had an extreme loss of appitite, mild night time tics, and the effect was lost by mid-afternoon so he had difficulty with his homework. On vyvance, the positive effect has been almost identical, with very mild appitite loss, no tics, and the effect lasts into early evening, past homework and after school activities. I hope this helps. Have a great day! "

" I was taking between 30 and 45mg of aderoll XR and recently switched to vyvance. I have been on it for about a week. I am unsure how well it is working. I started at the lowest dose of it-which I am sure is lower than my aderoll dose- and I notice that some of my symptoms are harder to control right now. The med also is keeping me up at night-hence why I am posting this at 1:45 am. I have heard a lot of positives about this med though, I just think I need a stronger dose-but my dr said you gotta start out at the lowest. Sorry if that was not much help. "

" The 30mg of vyvabce my son takes seems to have about the same effect as the 45mg of adderallxr he had previously taken. Adderall is a compound of two active ingredients while vyvance is only one. It took about a week or two for my son to show the full effects of the vyvance. He has now been on this med for a little over two months and showing dramatic improvement in his attention during school, afternoon homework time, and his after school activities. "

" thanks azad for that. Maybe I just need to give it a little longer. I think it may also be that I just have a lot going on right now and now consistant schedule. "
