I have been taking Ritalin for 2 months now, and I do not think it is working anymore. When I first started taking it I noticed a huge difference, now I feel like I am back to the old me. I also have an eating disorder and depression, so my pshyciatrist put me on Effexor and is reluctant to put me on anything else. He thinks I might even be able to stop taking the Ritalin once the I am on the Effexor for longer. I don't think he believes me that the Ritalin is not working. I had abused Adderall before I knew I had ADD b/c it made me not hungry, which Ritalin does too, but I have been eating. I want to try Adderall again b/c I know that it worked. But I am not sure if it's all in my head that the Ritalin is not working or if you really can become somewhat immune to a dose after a while?

" Talk to your Dr. and tell him how you feel maybe you need a stronger dose of Ritalin. My Dr. started me on 10mg. increased to 20 mg. This worked good but I did not like the down time between the first dose and second dose. I then was put on 20mgLA capsules and it works wonderful. I have been on 20mg.LA for 3 weeks now and so far it seems to work. "
