This past year he has been in trouble with the law a few times for stealing. He continually lies about EVERYTHING. We ask him why he does both and he says he just does it, doesn't know why. He is never a mean/angry kid with us. He always accepts whatever punishment. We cannot curb the lying. We are at wits end on how to deal with this. He will be graduating next year and I'm a bit worried about him. He has no ambition about his future, only what happens tomorrow. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Tell him that in the future if he keeps lying no one will remain his friend. Also remind him that telling the truth is a whole lot easier to remeber. See if he will go to a therapist. It helped me when I was younger.
