The doctor told me to put my son on vyvance after several failed medications. I was very happy with the results until I got on the internet. I am scared to death now I feel very guilty. I have a family of 5 it dosent seem fair that we can never do anything without him ruining it. However it dosen't seem fair with these side effects and with what some people have said about it. I am really struggling. I thought this was the answer to all of our problem and now I just feel selfish.

" Hmmm...Problems? Side-efftects? All meds have side-effects but I'm not aware of anything dangerous with Vyvanse. If you have a concern about any risks with taking it, I'd speak the the prescribing doctor.

In my experience, as was yours, we tried many things before Vyvanse, which is less than a year old, became available. None have worked as well. We are quite pleased with it.

To help us understand better, please post links to that infomation that you found so disturbing. Having another pair of eyes read it may help sort out any misconceptions.

Thanks for posting. "

" I gave my son one pill and he got excited about it. He was on ritalin and it worked but had to be taken while at school.

I took him off right away and changed meds back to ritalin. I only dose him for school so he won't build a torelance to it. Ritalin is out of the system in 4 hours and he eats like a horse.

Take one of his pills and see how it makes you feel. "
